Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is responsible for smooth and efficient execution of all fiscal functions of Hope Initiatives in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including the analysis, recording, and reporting of Hope Initiatives’ financial condition to the President & CEO and the Board Finance Committee. This includes tasks such as budgeting, cashflow management, internal controls, day-to-day bookkeeping and investments. The director actively participates with long-term strategic planning. This is a broad role which also includes procurement oversight, employee payroll, onboarding and other human resources functions.
Instructor

Hope Initiatives is seeking a qualified instructor with experience in woodworking, carpentry and efficient skills in machining. The instructor will be tasked with providing occupational skills training to individuals 18 years and older that will prepare them for meaningful employment. The instructor must be comfortable working with individuals from various backgrounds including those recently released from incarceration.
Workshop Supervisor

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing the furniture manufacturing function. The overall purpose is to achieve daily production demands with high quality and efficiency while equipping trainees to become job-ready. The ideal candidate will possess excellent carpentry and woodworking skills, be experienced in the use of various power tools, and have a passion for teaching others.
Welder

The person in this position must reflect the heart, mission, and culture of Hope Initiatives. The primary purpose of the position is to weld frames required for furniture we provide to individuals in need. The welder may also be asked to help build furniture or support moves and deliveries when available and as needed. We are willing to train individuals with minimal experience.
